The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider worked on the race pace and on the time attack in the first day of testing in Thailand.

Last two days of testing for MotoGP in Buriram, and the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team completed Day 1 just with Franco Morbidelli. Fabio Di Giannantonio is in Italy, where he’s recovering from the injury in order to come back on track for the first race of the season. Great feeling at the Chang International Circuit for Franco, who ended the Day 1 of testing with the third fastest laptime.

Morbidelli completed 46 laps during the morning session and in the afternoon, he improved his fastest lap. 70 laps overall for the Pertmina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider, who closed the first day of testing in third position in the combined classification (he was second in the afternoon). His fastest laptime in 1’29”683 is less than five tenths far from the quickest of the day.

The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team is back on track tomorrow for the second and last day of MotoGP test before the season starts in Buriram (from 28th February to 2nd March).

FRANCO MORBIDELLI

“We started the day very well and I immediately felt at ease with the setting I already had in Sepang. We could understand even better some things that will be useful. I am very happy with the Day 1. I have a great feeling on the bike, this is very important, and it reflects on the speed we have on track. Today my team did a great job at the end of the day, because in the last minutes we had some problems with both bikes and they could fix one in record time. This allowed me to make my fastest lap. Tomorrow we will work more on used tyres to understand how they react after many laps. It’s important because this is the last test before the start of the season, that will be on this track”.
