Positive test day at Jerez for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team

Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli ended with satisfaction the first day of 2026 testing at the Circuito de Jerez.

It was a Monday of track action for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, that stayed at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto for the usual MotoGP Official test day following the Spanish GP. Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli went on track with an intense workplan, ending the testing day on the Andalusian circuit in eighth and nineteenth place respectivley.

Full workplan both in the garage and on track for Di Giannantonio, who tried many solutions, including come aerodyamic items on his Ducati Desmosedici GP. Fabio – who was one of the quickest and led the timesheet throughout the day – completed 74 laps overall, the fastest one in 1’36”477, finishing the Jerez test day in eighth place.

Very intense workplan for Morbidelli too, but he focused on the changes of the setup: the goal was to make some other steps forward and fix the problems he had at the start of the season. The #21 rider ended the day with 77 laps overall and he was nineteenth with in 1’37”071 as his best laptime.

The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team is back on track in two weeks for the French GP, which will take place at the Le Mans Circuit from 8th to 10th May.

FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO
“I am happy because I think it was the most intense test we’ve ever done! We made many laps with a lot of things to test. We didn’t have much time for all the items we had to try, but we managed to test most of them giving the best feedback as possible. I think we are getting more and more precise on what we need and how we improve, this is positive. We made some interesting steps with some things we tried, I look forward to use them in the race as soon as they’re ready. The most visible aspect is the fairing, we gave some feedbacks in this area too, I’m happy about other things that are not visible too and helped me to stop the bike and in the entry corner, that is what we needed the most.”

FRANCO MORBIDELLI
“This testing day was very useful because we understood many things. We tried to find some solutions to the problems that didn’t allow us to be as fast as we wanted, but without looking at the laptime. We must dedicate more time to these solutions in order to find ideal setups to confirm. We leave Jerez with many data to analyze.”
