Marco Bezzecchi P8 in the Sprint at the Solidarity GP

The penultimate chapter of the S24 with the rider of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team in the Top 10. Michele Pirro 21st

Barcelona (Spain), November 16th 2024 - Marco Bezzecchi crossed the finishing line of the Solidarity GP Sprint race in eighth place after a race battling in the group. Michele Pirro, on the track this weekend with the colors of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, is 21st.

Starting from the third spot on the grid, Marco was immediately in a fight for the sixth place. Capable of overtaking and counter-overtaking on the Desmosedici GP, he recovered a few positions and collected two points. He is 12th in the general standings with 146 points.

First Sprint of the year for Michele, who replaces Fabio Di Giannantonio, still recovering from the shoulder surgery. Stopped at the cut of the Q1 and starting from the back of the grid, he struggles to keep up the pace but he collects data for tomorrow's race (lights off at 2:00 p.m. local time).

Marco Bezzecchi
Yesterday we were very competitive, but today it wasn't bad either. I'm always chasing and I lack traction. The pace is good, I'm satisfied and I think there will be room for improvement for the long race. Here at Montmelo, tire wear is the crucial factor, we will have to manage it. I will give my best tomorrow, it hasn't been an easy season, but the balance of the last races is increasing and positive.

Michele Pirro
At the first corner it was really impressive: between sun, speed and drivers. In general, it was interesting to get back on the GP23 with these tires. Understanding exactly the limits and the real differences between the GP24 and the GP25. I did my race, the goal is always to gather information to develop the package better and better. The group in front was not far away and I hope for a step tomorrow. Let's try to work on this aspect again.
