Marco Bezzecchi P8 in the Sprint at Emilia Romagna GP

Two more points for the rider of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team who started from the second row. P18 for Fabio Di Giannantonio

Misano Adriatico (Italy), September 21st 2024 - The streak of positive results continues for Marco Bezzecchi who crosses the finishing line of the Sprint race of the GP dell'Emilia Romagna in eighth place after a race in the group. 18th place for Fabio Di Giannantonio painful after yesterday's crash.

Starting from the sixth spot on the grid and battling during the first laps, Marco loses the seventh place right under the checkered flag. A good pace overall, 13 laps in the group of the strongest guys and a total of 95 points (11th in the general standings) to best prepare himself for tomorrow's GP (01.00 pm local time).

Out of the points zone today but able to defend the P8 in the riders standings with 119 points, Fabio was forced to give places at the end of the due to irregular tire pressure and was relegated from 13th to 18th place. Still painful in his shoulder due to the crash he suffered yesterday afternoon, he will try to close the gap tomorrow.

A good race, even though I expected a little more after qualifying. I didn't start badly, then I stayed in Fabio's slipstream (Quartararo), but I was really struggling with the temperature of the front tire more than with the pressure. He was able to make the bike turn much better, I’m still struggling with that aspect of riding. Then I tried everything in the last two laps, he crossed me and overtook me again. A good battle, a good race overall and lots of data for tomorrow.

Fabio Di Giannantonio - 49

Waking up was definitely worse than I expected. After yesterday's crash my collarbone and shoulder hurt a lot. Physically it's definitely a bad moment, I can't train as I want and I'm also not in shape anymore. We have to be realistic, we have to settle for small victories, the Top5 is far away right now. Today was tough: qualifying wasn't bad, we missed the Q2 by a breath but in the race I had no feeling with the front. Let's go back to the data and make a step for the Top10.
