For the Mandalika race, the Tavullia-based team will be on track with a special livery paying tribute to Indonesia and its national symbol: the Garuda. The livery was unveiled today in Jakarta, at Pertamina Lubricants headquarters.
The Pertamina Indonesian GP represents one of the most important rounds for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, which will be on track for the third consecutive year with a special livery dedicated to the Country that became a second home for the Tavullia-based team. The livery was unveiled today at the Pertamina Lubricants Production Unit at Jakarta, and it pays tribute to the bond between the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team and Indonesia through its national symbol: the Garuda.
The origin of the Garuda comes from the Hindu and Buddhist mythology, and it is known as “vahana” or mount of Lord Vishnu. The Garuda was adapted to the Indonesian tradition thanks to the mythological tales, and it became the national symbol of the Republic of Indonesia – named Garuda Pancasila – with “Bhinneka Tunggal” (Unity in Diversity) as its national motto.
The Garuda represents the high fighting spirit and the courage, which are shared values with the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team. So, for the Pertamina Indonesian GP, the tribute livery to this Country is unveiled: the Garuda lies on the Ducati Desmosedici GP spreading its wings stretching across both sides of the bike, with its head positioned on the fuel tank. The Indonesian colours – white and red – are dominant, with the first one as a background and the second one representing the Garuda. Then, golden flames are added. The peculiar fluorescent yellow of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team combines with these colours, appearing on the front. As always, the livery is designed by Aldo Drudi and Drudi Performance.
Non only the livery will be under the spotlight in Mandalika: for the Pertamina Indonesian GP, the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team will wear a special Kappa capsule that has the Garuda with the same colour of the livery, to embody the Indonesian style. There will also be a special cap with the same colours – everything is available on Kappa and VR46 Tribe.
