The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team is fourth in the Sprint of the Monster Energy GP of Czechia with Fabio Di Giannantonio, who confirms to be competitive and in Top3 in the World Standing. Franco Morbidelli is twelfth.
In the Sprint of the Monster Energy GP of Czechia, the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team secured important points for the Championship with Fabio Di Giannantonio, fourth at the finish line after starting from the front row. Franco Morbidelli had a come back, ending the Saturday’s race in twelfth place.
It was a solid Saturday for Di Giannantonio, who secured the second place in Qualifying (1’51”350). A strong start from the front row allowed him to be one of the main contenders for the top places from the very beginning of Saturday’s race in Brno. The rider from Rome showed he had the pace to fight for the podium from the opening laps, staying close to the Top3 throughout all ten laps of the race before crossing the line in fourth place. Di Giannantonio collected valuable championship points, confirming his thirs place in the World Standing with 144 points, and reduced the gap to the championship leader to 36 points.
A difficult start from the third row caused Morbidelli to lose ground and left him with positions to recover over the ten laps of the Sprint. Franco, who had secured a ninth place in Qualifying after overcoming the Q1 (1’51”851), began his comeback from the very first corners, managing to maintain a consistent pace throughout the race. The Italian-Brazilian rider crossed the finish line in twelfth position and currently sits fourteenth in the World Standing with 40 points.
The Monster Energy GP of Czechia will conclude tomorrow with the main race, scheduled to start at 14:00 (local time).

“Today in the Sprint we made the wrong tyre choice: with the medium tyre I was faster through the corners, but then I lacked traction on corner exit, especially in the opening laps. I take responsibility for this decision, and we will work better together with the team. My start was good and allowed me to get involved in the fight for the podium, but I didn’t have the right tyres to really battle for it. I pushed until the very end, but on the last lap the gap was too big, so I decided to secure some valuable points. For tomorrow’s race, we’re not ruling out any options, and the goal will be to achieve the best result possible! Also, Vale is in the garage with us this weekend, and it’s incredible, he’s truly an exceptional coach!”

“Today I wasn’t able to make a good start, and from the very beginning I struggled to ride the way I wanted. I fought with the group and gained some positions to cross the finish line in twelfth place. The feeling is not yet ideal, but I’m happy that I managed to get through Q1 in qualifying and progress to Q2. In the meantime, we’re continuing to work hard to be quick again. Tomorrow we’ll have another opportunity to find solutions, and I’m confident.”
