The rider of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team at work in view of the second home GP and the season finale. Fabio Di Giannantonio did not take part in the session to focus on recovering from the injury to his left shoulder
Misano Adriatico (Italy), September 9th 2024 – After yesterday's excellent P5 at San Marino GP, Marco Bezzecchi returns to work in Misano for the official MotoGP testing session. A busy and full-time day for the rider of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team with a total of 52 laps (FP1 e FP3) and the 8th final position. Priority on recovering (painful shoulder - consequence of the crash at the Austrian GP) and rest for Fabio Di Giannantonio, today an exceptional spectator into the garage.
Among the first to take to the track in the late morning, Marco continues his progress aboard the Desmosedici GP. More and more confidence in riding and positive feelings with a good 1'31.927. A gap of only 5 tenths from the very first (Bagnaia, 1'31.582) on the eve of the second GP on the Romagna track, next 20/22 September (Emilia Romagna GP – R14 of the 2024 season).
Marco Bezzecchi - 72
A good race after a series of positive GPs. I started well and managed to unlock the fork at the first corner. I got stuck in a fight with Jack and Marc (Miller and Marquez), then I touched Jack and I lost ground. With the first drops of rain, the group came together, I didn't take many risks, maybe I made a mistake, but I prefer to stay close to the Top5. I believed in it, I defended the position until the end. In these types of conditions, anything can happen, I preferred not to take risks in the crucial phases, but to bring home a solid result. We are getting closer and the sensations while riding are good.
