Fabio Di Giannantonio finishes the Sprint inside the Top10 after a complicated start. Franco Morbidelli, twentieth.
Saturday at Balaton Park did not end in the way the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team riders had expected. Fabio Di Giannantonio, tenth at the end of 13 laps, was unable to score points in a Sprint that became difficult from the very first lap. Franco Morbidelli was unable to improve his feeling with the bike and finished the race in twentieth position.
Starting from the second row of the grid, Fabio Di Giannantonio had a good start, but at Turn 1 he found himself caught in a group of riders. At that moment, he began to lose positions, completing the first lap in tenth place. Despite trying until the final corner, the rider from Rome held his position to the chequered flag. Di Giannantonio is third in the World Championship with 134 points.
Franco Morbidelli did not find this Saturday the feeling that had already been missing on Friday during practice sessions. Starting from the seventh row, the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider struggled with race pace to recover positions, finishing the race in twentieth place. The Italian-Brazilian sits fourteenth in the overall standings with 38 points.
The Hungarian GP will conclude tomorrow with the eighth race of the season, scheduled for 14:00 local time.

"Obviously, I’m not happy with how the race went. The start wasn’t bad, but I think we can still improve the bike for tomorrow. On this track, where braking is very difficult, it’s important to get a good race start and stay as close as possible to the riders in front of you. In general, I always struggle a bit in the opening laps because, with a full tank, the bike puts a lot of load on the front end, and this situation improves as the laps go by. Today we struggled more than usual. I think we have identified a change to make for tomorrow that could allow us to take a step forward."

"It has been a very complicated weekend so far. The feeling, both in qualifying and in the Sprint, has been completely different compared to last year, when we were faster and managed to finish on the Sprint podium. We need to keep working and try to solve what is preventing us from being as fast as we should be. A night of hard work awaits us so we can arrive tomorrow with improvements."
