Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi are following the top guys, respectively, in P12 and P14 at the end of Day1
Scarperia (Italy), May 31st 2024 - A more complicated Friday than expected for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team at Mugello where this weekend the Italian GP is being held. In front of the home crowd, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi struggle to get into the rhythm of the strongest riders and, at the end of the day, they are 12th and 14th.
Sixteenth this morning, in the afternoon Fabio arrives at just seven tenths of a gap from the leader (Bagnaia, 1.44.938) managing to stop at 1.45.650, a crono that means a gap of two tenths from the Top10 and the direct access into the Q2.
Also forced into Q1 (tomorrow 10.50 am) Marco, in P13 in the first free practice and author of a best lap time of 1.45.729. For him too, seven tenths is the gap to reduce compared to the leading group.

Marco Bezzecchi - 72
It wasn't an easy day, but I knew I would struggle on the flying lap. It's the same old problems: with new tires, I have a strange feeling, an aspect we've been working on for several races. The pace is not bad at all, the weather didn't surprise us and we managed to make the most of the entire day. We'll continue working tomorrow morning in the free practices to make another step forward.
Fabio Di Giannantonio - 49
We're missing a few things, especially on the time attack, but overall we did a good job. This morning we had a good pace, then at the end of the session, with the tire change, the leading positions were reversed, but the feelings were good. In the afternoon, with the medium, I was competitive then, with the soft, I have struggled more. We need a step forward in the centre of the corner to hit the Q2, our target.
