Q2 for Di Giannantonio and Bezzecchi in Austin

The riders of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team are both in the Top10 after the free practices

Austin (USA), April 12th 2024 - Texan Rodeo starts at COTA with the riders of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team both directly into Q2 (tomorrow 11.15 am local time) after the first free practices. Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi ended the day respectively in P9 and P10.

After a more complicated first session than expected, an excellent step forward on the Ducati Desmosedici GP for Fabio who is protagonist in the afternoon. He signs a good 2.02.244 and is just eight tenths behind the leaders (Martin, 2.01.397).

Good feelings and positive feedback also for Marco, among the strongest since the morning session and capable of a best lap time of 2.02.358. With a gap of just a second, he is aiming for the first two rows in qualifying.

A positive first day here at COTA, I'm quite happy. A pity for the yellow flag at the end, I couldn't complete my second time attack, but I'm satisfied to be in the Top Ten. The pace is good and I'm positive for tomorrow. We have worked a lot at home, both from a technical and physical point of view, and the feedback is positive.

This morning we didn't start too strong, I didn't have a great feeling with the front. Then in the afternoon, David, my crew chief, made a change that made me immediately gain confidence, we managed to make a big step forward and I can say that we are on the right path. Just before the second session I started to have a bad headache, I didn't feel very well, but once on the track I achieved my goal. Q2 is always crucial, starting in the first two rows will be even more crucial here considering the first corner where anything can happen.
