Di Giannantonio and Bezzecchi into Q2 at Silverstone

After the summer break, the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team riders keep the pace of the strongest guys, respectively in sixth and ninth place at the end of the Day 1

Silverstone (UK), August 2nd 2024 - Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi hit the Q2 target at the British GP at Silverstone. After the summer break, the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team riders are in the slipstream of the fastest guys with the sixth and ninth lap time in the afternoon session.

Satisfied and always consistent on the Ducati Desmosedici GP, Fabio is the author of an excellent 1.58.318, a lap time that means just four tenths of a gap from the leader of the day (Martin, 1.57. 911).

Positive balance, despite a technical problem right at the start of the Practice, also for Marco, capable of a good 1.58.506 and ready to take to the track tomorrow for the Q2 (11.15 am local time – Sprint race at 03.00 pm).

A positive Friday, but with dramatic back stage. A bit of everything happened, but we made it to Q2. I lost time, I wasn't able to work well on the race pace, but I'm happy with the feeling while riding. Qualifying for Q2 was necessary, we don't come from easy GPs. Tomorrow we'll try to recover in terms of work and then understand which tire to use for the race. I'm a fan of the hard tire in front, but if the temperatures aren't right it's not the best option. I'm deciding between soft and medium, I need a few laps to understand better.

A good comeback, I'm happy even if we still lack a little to be super fast like the top guys. I'm pushing hard, the gaps are minimal, we're all at the limit, but I'm happy with the work with the Team. We're consistent, the time on the flying lap is good and the Q2 is always our goal for Friday. Let's go back to the data and prepare ourselves as best as possible for tomorrow's Sprint.
