The British GP marks the end of the summer break and the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team is back on track this weekend at Silverstone to start the second part of the championship.
The summer break is over and it’s time to come back in action: MotoGP flies to Silverstone, where the second part of the 2026 campaign starts this weekend. The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team is ready to face the British GP with Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli on the track where it secured two Sprint podium (2023 and 2025).
Di Giannantonio heads into the twelfth round of the season determined and eager to bounce back after the setback at the Sachsenring, which caused him to slip down the World Standing. Fabio now sits fifth in the championship with 184 points, and he is ready to come back to the top positions on the track where he secured a third place in the Sprint last year. At Silverstone, the rider of Rome’s goal is to build on the consistency he showed during the first half of the season and carry the same momentum into the second part of the championship. He arrives refreshed, well-prepared, and ready to get back on track.
The British GP will be an important round for Morbidelli too. He’s back on track after recharcing the batteries during the summer break. On the track where he got two podiums (a second place in 2016 and a third in 2017, both in Moto2) and a fourth place as his best result in MotoGP, Franco will keep working to build on the steps forward he made in the first half of the season. The Italian-Brazilian riders is sixteenth in the World Standings with 46 points.
The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team hits the track with a different schedule for the Silverstone weekend: the action starts on Friday with the Free Practice, while on Saturday the Qualifying will take place (11:50 a.m. local time, + 1 UTC). The Sprint will start at 4 p.m (local time, + 1 UTC) on Saturday, while the British GP will conclude on Sunday with the main race, which will start at 1 p.m. (local time, + 1 UTC).
FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO
“I am happy to be back on track! During this summer break I could relax and recharge the batteries, but I also trained. I couldn’t do this before because of the finger injury. I went on track too, both with the Panigale and with the minibike, we’ve been working to head to Silverstone as prepared as possible. The track is very long, similar to Austin, so I love it! We head to Great Britain with positive feelings: I secured a Sprint podium last year on this track, and we want to bounce back after the Sachsenring mistake. We have a great package, and I look forward to confirming our potential. The weather could play a key role, but we will be ready in any condition.”
FRANCO MORBIDELLI
“Finally we’re back on track! I am happy to restart with a race weekend: we needed this summer break to put ideas together, relax and reset everything. During this little stop, I trained a lot on track too, and now we’re starting with the second half of the season with a clearer mind. We head to Silverstone, a track that I like, and I look forward to racing there. Last year I made a great comeback, and I fought for the podium until the last corner. Looking at the weather will be important, but we proved we can be strong on wet, so we will be ready for every condition. I feel extremely ready to change my style on the bike as much as possible to be back to the front.”
