Di Giannantonio fifth and Bezzecchi eight at Silverstone

A great race for the riders of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team who, riding the special Sun&Moon liveries, hit the Top10

Silverstone (UK), August 4th 2024 - Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi honour the special Sun&Moon livery dedicated to Valentino Rossi with a great comeback on the day of the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the Motorcycle World Championship. The riders of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team cross the finishing line in fifth and eighth place respectively.

Starting from the tenth spot on the grid, Fabio is capable of an excellent first lap. Seventh in the initial stages of the race, he climbs the standings, thanks to a great pace in the final, to the Top5, the third of the current season. With today's points he is eighth place in the general standings with 104 points.

Good feelings also for Marco, on the track despite the pain and the bone contusion in his right foot suffered yesterday after the crash in the Sprint. After a complicated start, he keeps a constant pace and closes in crescendo, reaching the group in front of him in the final laps. He is P11 in the standings with 61 points.

It was tough, I suffered in the final despite the painkillers. The last laps were endless, I couldn’t feel my leg anymore, but the sensations on the bike were good. I didn’t start badly, then I found Brad (Binder) in the middle of the straight, he must have had some problems with the bike, then I recovered well. It’s a shame about the qualifying, it wasn’t perfect and then you pay for that over the weekend. I’m happy with the feeling today, I had better feelings in riding.

Fabio Di Giannantonio - 49

A tough race but what a fun. I had a great start, then a great fight. I lost a bit of time with Alex and Pedro (Marquez and Acosta), but a super battle and then a really strong pace at the end. A great race! I managed the tires well, especially at the start, so as not to take too many risks at the end. I am happy and very satisfied. The bike was beautiful, already on paper, then even more the real one, awesome. I paid homage to Vale with a special helmet, it was a way to say thank you for this great opportunity he gave me this year. I had a bit of pressure, but also extra motivation.
