Another step for the rider of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team who almost reaches the podium after a great battle in the group. Marco Bezzecchi crashes in the early stages of the race
Assen (Netherlands), June 30th 2024 – P4 for Fabio Di Giannantonio which means the best result so far together with the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team at the 75th edition of the Dutch GP which took place today at Assen. Forced to retire, during the sixth lap, Marco Bezzecchi after a crash.
Starting from the fourth place on the grid and eighth at the end of the first lap, Fabio does not lose his concentration but imposes a solid and constant pace that allows him to overtake the other riders and recover up to the P3. Third for the entire central part of the race (from the eighth to the 18th lap), he manages to stay focus in the final stages and right under the checkered flag he scores this great result (P6 at the finishing line and then penalty for two riders).
A really bitter Assen for Marco, with an early end today. 14th on the starting grid and in P15 after the start, in an attempt to recover, he crash in the third lap and retires definitively during the sixth lap. A complicated weekend, to be forgotten in a few hours before facing the second GP of these weeks at the Sachsenring circuit.

Marco Bezzecchi - 72
I have struggled a lot all the weekend: even today in the race, I couldn't get into the rhythm and then I crashed. I lost the front, the first touch of gas is always complicated. I have understeer, the rear pushes a lot and in these situations it's easy to crash. Too bad, it's a difficult moment, but we don't give up and we continue to work to get closer.
Fabio Di Giannantonio - 49
I'm really happy, we're working hard and we finally fought for the podium and to be the first GP23 to crossing the finishing line. What a great fight in the group! A pity for the third place, but at a certain point I had to let them overtake me because the temperature of the front tire was dropping too much and in this type of condition in Assen it's easy to make a mistake. In any case I'm happy and very proud of the Team: let's keep going like this!
